FUTURE FARM VIENNA
(germ.: Zukunftshof Favoriten) is a prototype of good and sustainable future urban life. Located in Vienna it will show the concept of urban farming, i.e. local urban food production and consumption, local economy, health and educational services and innovation in a cooperative manner.
It starts by renewing an historic organic farm in Vienna and will influence the urbanization of an 1 km2 area for 20.000 people!
planetYES PROTOTYPING
develops a strategy for the implementation of Circular Economy in two selected Austrian regions.
This is an ongoing research application for the latest call of Climate-KIC – Europe´s leading climate innovation initiative together with the Sustainable Europe Research Institute (SERI) and Dreiseitl Wesearch – Institute for cooperative research and participation.
Adaption
to Climate Change in Fruit Growing through resource-efficient Water Management: This is a regional development initiative in collaboration with the Umweltbundesamt - Environment Agency Austria and the Austrian LEADER-Region Oststeirisches Kernland.
The goal is the improvement of soil water storage capacity and the reduction of water consumption by means of digitization and other measures.
JANA MODEL FARM
is a community farming project in the district of Dhaka in Bangladesh, providing health, food supply and education. The aim is to cultivate land in a sustainable way by using only organic fertilizers and pesticides, working together with experts and families in the region. In addition, students are learning about the importance of organic farming for their own health and the health of the environment in a circular ecosystem. JANA Model Farm is a project between planetYES and JANA – reaching for education, is a Vienna based NGO building and operating pre-primary schools and tuition centers in Boalmari, Bangladesh.
